Some of you may have noticed that I haven't made a blog post in a while (others may notice that very few people actually read this blog and even fewer pay attention to it so I'm not sure why I keep at it) and there's a below average reason for this. I started playing World of Warcraft again. I know that it's sad and I'm probably now classes as a nerd who is to nerds what nerds are to normal people but I don't really care. The thing is, thats what is really bugging me.
I understand that there is a huge prejudice towards WoW players and even MMO players in general but I don't really understand it. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has loads of players, almost as many as some MMOs, but for some reason isn't considered to be that nerdy. On the other hand Counter Strike has almost as many players as CoD but is seen as nerdy. You have to wonder why that is. Both are arcade shooters dressed up as a realistic shooters and have as many similarities as they have differences, but one is nerdy and one isn't.
As I mentioned they aren't even realistic shooters. CoD is more of a DPPFFRWSIWWBTONOTMTWHAAFAPAHD shooter (LOOK IT UP!) while CS is just plain and simple arcade shooter. Is that why CoD isn't seen as nerdy? Because it isn't an arcade game (Even thought the multiplayer is)?
Now all of this rambling is leading to a point. The point is this: Much like good, evil, truth and justice, nerdy doesn't exist. It is a label slapped on anything that isn't as popular as other things OR is more popular than other things. WoW is loved and played by millions of people who like to be good at it and is therefore nerdy. CS is popular with kids who aren't quite as cool (another thing that doesn't exist) as people who are popular (I guess that one exists though). CoD is liked by the 'popular' people and is therefore not nerdy. From this I conclude that 'popular people' are totally insane.

A public anouncement
It has come to my attention that someone has used my name to post an inappropriate comment on a blog that I shall not name due to copyright infringements. You know who you are and you should also know I am working with the blog owner to straighten out all this business. I will not discuss whether I agree with the post in question as that is beside the point. The point is that you have used my name against my will and this is in fact identity theft. I shall not report this to the police, however I shall issue my own punishment that shall be executed using my sharp wit and my colleague's lack of grip on sanity. Own up now and I shall let this pass with merely a warning however. I have no problem with you making all the allegations in the world against whomever you wish using your own name or an anonymous one. My name must not be used to convey your own beliefs, opinions or insults. You have been warned.

"Punctuation 'n' stuff" an extention
The point of punctuation is to give the reader a better idea of what is meant by the content of the text. Text with no punctuation is just incomprehensible words.
Punctuation 'n' stuff
I'm just going to jump straight in with this one. Punctuation is important. All of it. However if you ask me one of the most important is the question mark wouldn't you agree? For example one of my "friends" on Facebook recently left a comment along the lines of "why. what happened.". What we have here is two very short statements. I assume that they meant to say "Why? What Happened?". As you may have noticed I also corrected the problem with their capital letters. Now this offense was rather insignificant but there have been times when the lack of a question mark has led to terrible consequences (all right it wasn't too serious, the question just didn't get answered until they pointed out it was a question a week later).
This brings me to another point: The use of full English. Now in texts the use of text language is understandable. You have to conserve letters so that you can fit it all in one text or something (my phone hasn't been on for three years). In other areas though I don't understand the use of text language. On games I feel that if you don't have time to type your message out properly you probably shouldn't be typing (however I feel that brb is acceptable as it implies you must leave swiftly). I also have a friend who writes a blog but apparently doesn't use full English. If a blog is full of "Imo" or "LMAO" it doesn't look professional. It looks like someone threw a lobster at their keyboard and hit publish post. A blog is open to the entire Internet and so, however unlikely it is, may be come upon by many thousands of people. Many will quickly ignore your blog as mindless drivel while with full English they might at least read it before realizing this.

(insert title here)
So I haven't done a post here for a while now and heres the thing. I can't think of anything witty to say. Its not that I can't be bothered I just can't think of anything funny at the moment. In all honesty this post is to say this blog is not dead and I will start posting again when I have something mildly amusing to say. In the mean time consider this: Is there something better I can call this? My reasoning is that a blog sounds like something that sits on the bottom of a river and communicates through farts.

That last post I made
I realize that last post was about as funny as a dead baby joke after an abortion so here is a mildly amusing joke I found on a random joke generator.
Q: What do lawyers use as birth-control? A: Their personalities.
I would like to take the time to say I like lawyers as much as I like everyone and I have nothing against lawyers. Anyone who takes offense at this joke is reminded I did not write it nor did I find it funny so please don't hunt me down and talk at me because I have the social skills of a nervous badger.

Who you play as in a game
Just a short post today. I've been thinking about a forum post I was just reading about playing as a female in games while being a man. Now some people said that this was a bad thing to do as you shouldn't play as the opposite gender to yourself. I didn't quite understand this viewpoint as I can't through fireballs either so does that mean I shouldn't play mage? Also I can't run for more than a minute, fire weapons accurately, drive cars/boats/helicopters/planes or sneak at all. Actually scratch that last one. What I'm trying to say is a game is much like a book or a film. I am not the character in it I just control them and so should be able to play what ever character I feel like.
Any thoughts?

Chavs, Gangstas and being a BadMan
So I've been having a think about the situation that we are in as a species at this moment. The 'plague' of people trying to outdo each other on the BadMan scale. I don't quite get it. How is being a chav cool? I understand people who dislike school as I am among their ranks however when people go out of their way to (for lack of a better term) cock about. For example: A few months ago a pupil was sent into one of my classes because he had been misbehaving in another class. However the wayward youth (wow I sound like an old man) was not remorseful, far from it in fact, he stood at the front of the class smirking at the class who's time he was now wasting (we weren't getting much done but thats beside the point (apologies for the excessive use of brackets I'll try to stop)). Where is the attraction in being told off by one teacher to be sent into another room to be told off by another, all the while wasting away a valuable education (yes I respect education and understand its purpose I just don't enjoy it).
Another thing I don't understand is the notion of being 'Gangsta'. First of all their inability to spell gangster and secondly for their inability to understand what a gangster actually is. Now don't get me wrong actual gangsters were (and if they still exist) awesome, although maybe I've been playing a little too much "Gangsters: Organized crime". However these modern 'Gangstas' are just idiots in stupid clothes using a bunch of made up words and incorrect grammar (although all words are mad up in some respect but thats another blog post all together).
But you know what really gets my metaphorical knickers in a twist? The fact few people seem to agree with me. Now maybe this is because people who are actually cool don't need to mess about in gangs or maybe I'm just a little out of touch with modern pop culture but either way whats so cool about chavs and 'Gangstas'? It has even been scientifically proven that girls are more attracted to 'bad men'. Why? What is so attractive about a self centered git who couldn't pour water out of a shoe with instructions on the heel?
The point I am trying laboriously to get too is this: Cool people who are cool don't have to prove it to anyone. Chavs and 'Gangstas' aren't cool, they're posers. Trying to make up for their utter lack of cool or maybe something else. Although saying that what I'm actually saying is that chavs, 'bad men' and 'gangstas' are dicks. End post.
