So the world cup has started and I'm as interested in it as I am that tree across the road. I don't quite understand why people enjoy watching twenty-two people kick a ball from one end of a pitch to the other for forty-five minutes at which point they switch sides and do it again. All in aid of winning an overly elaborate cup (I would also like to take this time to point out its not even a cup theres nowhere to put your drink in it). There isn't even anything to be proud of. So what if eleven people in your country are the best group of football players in the last four years, thats like the Chinese being proud that they are the worlds top potato producers in 2006 (yes I looked that up). I don't even see why its so exciting. Now heres an idea. Give all the footballers saucepan helmets and claymores and we can start talk about exciting.
